Land Use and Artist Studio
Forestville, California

Creativity in the Countryside Available Now!

Seeking local artists and creators for a unique opportunity on 16 acres not far from the Russian River. Shared artist studio and land use agreements are available for (non-residential) creativity in the countryside. Please call or email for full details and to schedule a tour.

The concept is a small, curated group of people finding inspiration in lightly impactful use of the property: 4-5 artists in total. The first signed artist is a music teacher and performer and will use the space to compose and record. Ideal additional collaborators may include:

  • Writers, poets and authors
  • Video producers, podcasters, editors; film makers and photographers
  • Movement artists, dancers
  • Landscaping/permaculture creators and makers – collaborating on trails, forest stewardship and additional improvements (perhaps a hot tub!)
  • Open to compatible uses such as gardening or bodywork
  • Other low-impact creative activities? Bring your ideas!

It is a very special place and I’m glad to tell you more about the vision.

Usage fees are $500/month for the initial summer and winter cohort, now through March 31, 2027. Afterwards, renewed agreements may continue for summer (April to September 2027) and winter (October 2027 to March 2028) commitments. The longer term vision is for a creative art and nature center including two six-month cohorts aligned with the seasons and/or future ownership structures to be determined.

Let’s connect – please call 415.203.3407 and/or send your email address using the form above.
